Vacation to Waikiki Beach in Hawaii

Updated: Feb 28

Hawaii is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy surfing on the famous North Shore of Oahu, snorkeling in Molokini Crater, hiking through the Waimea Canyon in Kauai, or exploring the volcanic craters of Haleakala and Kilauea. The islands offer diverse ecosystems, making them perfect for nature lovers. Each island has its own charm and attractions. Oahu is home to the capital city of Honolulu, Waikiki Beach, and historic Pearl Harbor. Maui is known for its beautiful beaches, the scenic Road to Hana, and the sunrise at Haleakala. The Big Island is renowned for its active volcanoes, while Kauai is famous for the dramatic Na Pali Coast. Hawaii has a tropical climate with two seasons – a warmer and drier season from April to October, and a cooler and wetter season from November to March. Temperatures generally range from the mid-70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit (24-30°C).

I planned a trip for my mother and I in Nov 2021. It was the trip of a lifetime. This was for my mom's 75th birthday we had both always wanted to go and I thought it was time to treat her to this vacation. The weather in Hawaii is extraordinary. There was such a sense of tranquility as we arrived, it's hard to put into words how the air felt. Perfect climate temperatures all year around. We started by having a bite to eat at our hotel's restaurant on the rooftop of Aston Waikiki Hotel. I of course had to try the famous Maitai cocktail.

We could not wait to get started on our vacation we had so many excursions planned. After unpacking and getting settled in we went directly down to Waikiki Beach found a spot to lay our towels down and put our feet in the Pacific Ocean for the first time in our lives. This part of the beach and a lot of places on Waikiki Beach had a block wall sectioning off parts of the beach so we could feel safe swimming in the ocean and not fearing lurking sharks. The water was so warm like a bath warm, and clear you could see exactly where you were stepping. The ocean breeze kept us cool while lying in the sun catching Hawaiian rays.

During the next five days of our trip, we had a busy schedule filled with exciting activities. We got to witness our first Luau with Germaine's Luau, visited the Pearl Harbor Memorial, took an amazing helicopter tour with Blue-Hawaiian Helicopter Tours, participated in a city bus tour, and even went on a submarine dive. I now see why people take 14-15 day vacations to Hawaii, there is just so much to do and experience.

This is one reason why Hawaii is one of my specialty destinations, I not only love it there, but I have advice on how to book the perfect vacation. Getting booked at the right time of the year, and your perfect destination is what I do.
